Meet Peter Crain
Long before Peter Crain founded Trestle Homes, he was a sculptor, using wood, clay and metal to bring ideas to life. As one of the Twin Cities’ top architectural builders, Peter is still an artist, creating distinctive homes for clients who value his quiet manner, refined taste, and meticulous attention to detail. Whether he’s building a new home in Linden Hills, renovating a landmark house in Lowry Hill, or updating a nautical-inspired family home on Lake Minnetonka, Peter brings his signature artistry and knowledge of architecture to every project. Between working, supporting The Basilica Landmark in Minneapolis and building his own family’s cabin in Wisconsin, Peter loves going to the theatre, biking and traveling with his wife Jeanne. They live with Ozzie, a Vizsla, in a home Peter built near Lake Harriet. In 2021, the Crains’ home was showcased on the AIA MN Homes by Architects Tour.
